This course focuses on the application of satellite remote sensing and geospatial technologies to monitor and address challenges associated with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Students will explore how remote sensing can be used to measure environmental and social indicators, detect patterns and anomalies, and support decision-making for climate resilience, water security, food systems, disaster risk reduction, energy planning, and sustainable urban development. Through hands-on labs and real-world datasets, students will develop the technical and analytical skills necessary to make meaningful contributions to sustainability efforts.
