Surgery Clerkship

This six-week clinical experience focuses on the care of the surgical patient in the pre-operative, operating room and post-operative settings. Determination of surgical diagnoses and immediate management of life-threatening conditions are stressed. The contextual approach to these disciplines will include integrating basic sciences, anatomy and physiology, embryology, ancillary diagnostics and medical terminology.
