Description

The course is designed to help teachers understand the process of mathematical development for students with learningdisabilities as well as multilingual learners. It identifies current research and theory on instructional strategies includingthose related to reading and writing in the content area in order to develop a better understanding of mathematical procedures and concepts at the secondary level. Building on the strengths of diverse learners, teachers will learn to differentiate instruction to help all learners meet and exceed appropriate New York State Learning Standards.
