Description

This course will introduce the nexus between the building envelope and the surrounding environment. The topics include building energy balance and energy flows, HVAC control systems; software and hardware, human interaction with building system, smart technology; low cost self powered wireless sensors and integration to electric grid. Previous knowledge of undergraduate thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer and computer programming required.
