Application of fluid dynamics principles to environmental flows. Equations of motion and basic transport equations for heat and other scalar quantities. Vorticity, waves and instability, turbulence, convection, atmospheric boundary layer theory, tropospheric flows and weather. Students who register for this course must have completed Fluid Dynamics (ME 35600 or equivalent) and Computer Methods (ME 32200 or equivalent).
