Prerequisites for all candidates: bachelor’s degree with a major or concentration in one of the liberal arts or sciences with study in a foreign language (two semesters of ASL accepted). Candidates with deficiencies in any of these areas may be conditionally accepted.
Prerequisites for candidates seeking Provisional New York State Certification (credit may be given for these courses or their equivalents if taken elsewhere on the graduate or undergraduate level, but they are not counted toward the master’s degree): bachelor’s degree with a major or concentration in one of the liberal arts or sciences with study in a foreign language (two semesters of ASL accepted). Candidates with deficiencies in any of these areas that can be made up within two semesters may be conditionally accepted.
