Theories, Policies, and Programs for Emergent Bilingual Students

This course explores the historical background policies, approaches, and theoretical foundations of bilingual education and other educational programs for immigrant, bilingual, and language minority students. It also considers the social, political, and economic context that surrounds the education of immigrant students in urban schools.
