Introduction to the Psychology and Education of Exceptional Students

An introductory course focusing on the nature and needs of children who are different from the norm in intellectual, physical, social, psychological, and personality functioning. Emphasis will be placed on an examination of education, psychosocial, sociological and cultural factors as they relate to the needs of exceptional students. Discussion of state and federal legislation.
